Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) is the most celebrated post-war Danish designer and architect. He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in 1924 and from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied architecture, in 1927. Arne Jacobsen worked actively both as an architect and as a designer and received many prestigious awards for his designs, including C. F. Hansen Medal and the Grand Prix of Milan XI Triennale.

Piet Hein (1905–1996) was a Danish polymath, who worked as a poet, architect, designer, mathematician, inventor as well as game designer. Growing up in Copenhagen, Hein was driven by a widespread interest in the world: he studied art, philosophy and theoretical physics in various schools, but never completed a degree. During World War II, he joined the Danish resistance movement against Germany and began publishing popular aphorisms called “grooks” under the pseudonym Kumbel Kumbell – during his career, he wrote more than 10,000 grooks in total.

Bruno Mathsson (13.1.1907–17.8.1988) was a renowned Swedish architect and furniture designer known throughout the world for his plywood chairs perfected with webbed seats, such as the Eva and Pernilla chairs.
