Hario V60 Kasuya coffee dripper, size 02, black porcelain

Kasuya model of the Hario V60 coffee dripper was developed in collaboration with Tetsu Hario, winner of the World Brewers Cup 2016 competition. V60 dripper was named after its optimal brewing qualities: the V shape and the 60-degree angle. The ceramic dripper has great thermal properties and the spiral grooves slow down the water for better extraction of coffee. V60 dripper fits perfectly together with Hario’s V60 coffee server. Size 02 brews 1 to 6 cups depending on the size of the cup.

The shape of the Kasuya dripper is designed for the 4:6 brewing method developed by Tetsu Kasuya. The first 40% of water is poured through the dripper in two parts: for more acidity, use more water in the first pour, and for more sweetness, decrease the amount of water in the first pour. The remaining 60% of water defines the strength of coffee, and the water is recommended to be poured in three equal parts. The 4:6 method is designed for coarse grounds – together with the slow brewing time, coarse grounds produce clear and aromatic coffee.

Hario, Japanese for king of glass, has manufactured heatproof glassware since 1921. The company is well known among baristas and other coffee connoisseurs, since it produces stylish and high-quality equipment for brewing coffee. Hario’s designs have received a number of awards including the Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award.
