Iittala's Leimu is a beautiful table lamp that combines two completely different materials in a fascinating way. The sturdy concrete base and impressive glass top, inspired by traditional lampshades, create a light where sensitivity meets strength.

In 2019, a 50 pieces limited edition of the Stadin Leimu table lamp was launched. The wooden base of of the lamp was made of decades-old and beloved lime trees on Mechelininkatu street in Helsinki. The coordinates for each used tree are engraved on the base of each lamp. A similar limited collection was also made in 2020. The wood used for the base of the lamp named Mansen Leimu came from the lime trees of Hämeenkatu street in Tampere.

The Loimu collection was designed by Norwegian-born Magnus Pettersen who drew the inspiration from traditional lampshades as well as modern architecture. The warm light of Leimu creates a cosy ambience to any room, and the mouth-blown, tinted glass makes every luminaire unique. The Leimu lamps have been manufactured in Finland.
