Moomin mug, 0,4 L, Yellow

Arabia's larger 0,4-liter Yellow Moomin mug has been in production since 2021. The mug's illustration shows Moominmamma cutting firewood, serving coffee and carving a log ship. The mug's illustration is based on Tove Jansson's Moomin and the Golden Tail cartoon from 1958 and the books Moominsommer madness and Moominpappa at sea from 1965.

First pieces of Arabia’s Moomin tableware came out already in the 1950s, and the large-scale production began in 1990. All the illustrations are done by Tove Slotte who draws inspiration from the original drawings by Tove Jansson. The form of the collection comes from Arabia’s timeless, ceramic Teema tableware designed by Kaj Franck.

Moomin Arabia is a collection of Moomin products by Arabia, one of Finland's most renowned brands. The residents of Moominvalley first appeared as ceramic designs in the 1950s when artist Tove Jansson created Moomin-themed dishes and her mother, Signe "Ham" Hammarsten Jansson, crafted ceramic Moomin figures. In the 1990s, Moomin mugs designed by illustrator Tove Slotte quickly became favourites among both children and adults. Since then, Moomin Arabia products have been cherished as delightful everyday items and valuable collectibles worldwide. Today, the collection includes not only dishware but also textiles.
