Moomin mug, Moomingirl, red

Arabia's Moomingirl is an exceptional mug among the traditional Moomin mugs in terms of its shape and size. The RL model children's mugs Moomingirl and Moominboy, designed by Richard Lindh, were produced from 1992 to 1997.  The Moomingirl mug, illustrated by Tove Slotte, follows the adventures of the small and brave Little My, while the Moominboy mug features beloved Moomin characters Inspector, Sniff, Moomintroll and Snufkin. 

First pieces of Arabia’s Moomin tableware came out already in the 1950s, and the large-scale production began in 1990. All the illustrations draw inspiration from the original drawings by Tove Jansson. The form of the collection comes from Arabia’s timeless, ceramic Teema tableware designed by Kaj Franck.

Moomin Arabia is a collection of Moomin products by Arabia, one of Finland's most renowned brands. The residents of Moominvalley first appeared as ceramic designs in the 1950s when artist Tove Jansson created Moomin-themed dishes and her mother, Signe "Ham" Hammarsten Jansson, crafted ceramic Moomin figures. In the 1990s, Moomin mugs designed by illustrator Tove Slotte quickly became favourites among both children and adults. Since then, Moomin Arabia products have been cherished as delightful everyday items and valuable collectibles worldwide. Today, the collection includes not only dishware but also textiles.
