Moomin plate set, Office & Winternight

The Moomin collector’s edition plates are based on Moomin mug illustrations no longer in production. This plate set contains the plates Office and Winternight.

The yellow-hued Office decoration was first seen as early as 1996. Based on several Moomin comics, the illustration features several characters, like Moominpappa painting the wall and Snorkmaiden clacking away on the typewriter.

The Winternight illustration, in turn, is based on the first-ever seasonal winter mug which was originally launched in 2006. In the illustration, Moomintroll sits on the railing of a small bridge on a clear winter night, in front of a full moon.

Tove Slotte

Moomin Arabia is a collection of Moomin products by Arabia, one of Finland's most renowned brands. The residents of Moominvalley first appeared as ceramic designs in the 1950s when artist Tove Jansson created Moomin-themed dishes and her mother, Signe "Ham" Hammarsten Jansson, crafted ceramic Moomin figures. In the 1990s, Moomin mugs designed by illustrator Tove Slotte quickly became favourites among both children and adults. Since then, Moomin Arabia products have been cherished as delightful everyday items and valuable collectibles worldwide. Today, the collection includes not only dishware but also textiles.
