Norden roasting dish, 28 cm

Fiskars' Norden steel roasting dish is ideal for preparing risottos and gratins or roasting meat to perfection. The multi-ply construction and thick bases of the Norden cookware provide an even heat distribution, and the ergonomic handles are designed to minimize heat transfer. Due to the unique Ceratec coating and Thermium mineral treatment, the pan has a non-stick surface that is suitable for high-temperature frying and oven cooking at up to 270°C.

Equipped with a lid, the Norden roasting dish is a member of Fiskars' top-quality cookware range inspired by Nordic cooking traditions and Finnish knife-making heritage. The Norden collection is made in Finland using strong, durable and easy-to-maintenance materials such as steel, cast iron and wood. Fiskars, founded in 1649, is the oldest company in Finland. Fiskars started with ironworks and moved into copper works in 1973. The nearby Orijärvi copper mine was however closed in 1802 and since then there has been no basic iron manufacturing done in Fiskars Village. In 1822 the apothecary Johan Julin bought the Fiskars ironworks and the village. During his time the ironworks was developed and the manufacturing focused on processing iron. In 1932 Fiskars established the first cutlery mill in Finland and that is where they started producing knives, forks and scissors.
