The PA’ 1947 console table by Cassina is designed to fit seamlessly into compact spaces, yet its light and elegant aesthetic makes it a stylish addition to rooms of any size! Originally designed by Italian architect Ico Parisi for a private client, the console desk has now been reimagined by Cassina, blending the original design with modern craftsmanship and technology to suit contemporary homes of today.

The PA’ 1947 writing desk features a walnut tabletop and slender, Y-shaped legs, which create a distinctive and refined look. The brass-tipped legs are secured with screws into rectangular notches on the tabletop, adding both function and striking visual detail. The result is a lightweight yet sophisticated console table that works beautifully as both a desk and a side table.

Ico Parisi

Cassina is an Italian design brand established in 1927. In the 1950s, Cassina pioneered in launching industrial design in Italy, and today its collections are characterized by combinations of new, technical innovations and traditional craftsmanship. 

The company was founded by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina in Meda, Northern Italy, where they initially crafted custom-made furniture tailored to the tastes of an affluent clientele. After World War II, their focus shifted from traditional craftsmanship to modern design, inspired in part by architects Franco Albini and Giò Ponti. One of Cassina’s first major successes was the light and elegant Superleggera chair designed by Ponti, which became an icon of modern Italian design.
