The illustration is from Tove Jansson's book Taikatalvi (1957). It is made with scratch technique, i.e. the image is scratched out from a dark background. Thanks to Tove's skillful use of line, this picture is also vivid and wonderful! Tove Slotte, the designer of the mug, said that the illustration was changed to shades of blue from the original black. Unused, with sticker
