Aalto coffee table 81B, birch

Table 81B is a table designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935, where the tabletop is combined with classic L-legs. The bent birch L-leg was patented in 1933 and became a widely used standard part in Aalto's furniture design.

In Aalto's tables, system thinking is also realized in the possibilities of combining tables of different sizes. By combining table models, large, variable table sets can be assembled.
